Job DetailThe Logistics Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact in Turkey for all logistics-related matters for both AMIRI and ALO, ensuring smooth and efficient movement of goods from origin to final destination. This role involves managing shipments, handling customs clearance, finalizing documentation, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely product delivery, coordination with the regional corporate team in Dubai to maintain alignment with overall corporate strategies.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Logistics Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Select appropriate shipping methods and negotiate rates with carriers to optimize costs and transit times.
- Book shipments and track their progress to ensure smooth delivery.
Shipping Documentation:
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and complies with relevant regulations and international shipping standards.
Supplier and Shipment Monitoring:
- Follow up with suppliers on pending shipments and back-orders, updating records accordingly.
- Monitor shipments in transit and provide regular status updates to stakeholders until final delivery.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring stock levels are optimized to meet operational demands.
- Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure proper storage and handling of goods.
Internal Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal departments, including sales, production, and purchasing, to streamline logistics operations.
- Provide necessary support to ensure alignment between logistics and business operations.
Issue Resolution:
- Identify and resolve transportation and logistics-related issues promptly.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent similar issues in the future.
Compliance and Knowledge Maintenance:
- Stay updated on all import/export regulations, including tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions.
- Ensure full compliance with SABER end-to-end requirements and other relevant industry standards.
Data Analysis and Cost-Saving Initiatives:
- Analyse logistics data to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Implement cost-saving measures to optimize logistics operations and reduce expenses.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain management, preferably in retail or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of import/export procedures, customs clearance, and international trade regulations.
- Experience working with shipping agents and freight forwarders.
- Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and Turkish; additional languages are a plus.
- Experience with SABER compliance and related documentation.
- Knowledge of cost optimization strategies in logistics and supply chain operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external partners.
